Report
A selection of photos from around CairnGorm Mountain on Saturday. Still sizeable snow fields on the southern side of the Mountain, and still some scope for high level touring. The only lift served snowsports remains on the Ciste Fairway, with spring snow, served by the West Wall Poma.
The best area for beginners is around and above the top of the Ptarmigan Tow in the lower part of the Marquis Well Gully where the terrain park is normally situated.
Ptarmigan and Ciste uptracks remain complete, so it would not take much snow to get the Top Basin lifts operational again, and snow is forecast for mid-week.
Thanks to George Paton and Helen Rennie for Saturday's photos. Please send your photos to pix@winterhighland.com .
