Report
With drifting on the NW wind a couple of inches of snow that fell in the early hours had brought around an improvement to the open terrain, and snow showers continued through the day so more runs are slowly filling in. The Cas Tow is now open, loading at the top of the Gunbarrel.
Mostly overcast and misty on Monday, until around 3.30pm when things cleared up for a while, these photos mostly taken late afternoon. Top Basin is in good nick with excellent nursery areas, though it will be very cold up there over the next few days so do wrap up well. M1 Race Track is giving good sport for experts and has improved considerably with the fresh snow drifting in.
Now possible to ski to the Daylodge via the Carpark Run, but there is little real base here so watch out for the rocks! The Carpark uptrack is filling reasonably well, and further up the Zig Zags are also much improved. Hopefully judging by the Rain Radar these photos will be historic by first light on Tuesday! Keep the snow coming!!
