Excellent cover across Glenshee now with all runs complete, the Southerly Storm last weekend did an excellent job of filling in and topping up the terrain which faired less well in the earlier Northerly Storms.
Best sport on Friday reported to be on the Coire Fionn Red and the original Meall Odhar runs by the T-bar and Caenlochan Poma. Snow is firm packed, was quite icy early Friday morning, but the surface loosened up during the day. Slightly less cold conditions, sunshine and heavier ski traffic on Saturday should have a similar effect with surface conditions improving through the day with use.
Overall great sport for all abilities, Glas Maol is now open, the Tiger is complete and 21 lifts are scheduled to run on Saturday giving access to all Glenshee's terrain.
Thanks to Nigel Webber for Friday's photos. If you have been out please send your photos to pix@winterhighland.com .
