Report
Friday turned out to be a superb late spring day on the 'Gorm, with excellent spring snow sport still on offer up top in the Ptarmigan Bowl, which retains a good cover of spring snow. The Marquis Well snowfield retains good cover for tourers wanting to head to the summit to get onto the Plateau, but the Traverse has been dug out meaning you'll need to take your skis off in several places to cross the track. In terms of skiing down the middle runs are broken, but the top half of the White Lady remains in decent nick, but the bottom third only has small patches left, but it was seeing some action on Friday. People skiing in t-shirts in the Ptarmigan Bowl on Friday, what spring skiing should be about, so hopefully those forecast thundery showers will stay away during lift hours at the weekend.
Thanks to Helen Rennie for the photos from Friday, and throughout the season. If you have been out please send your photos to pix@winterhighland.info .
