We're nearing that time for the Winterhighland mid-summer slide, so on Saturday evening a wonder up the 'Gorm was undertaken to look for some white stuff!
Didn't have that far to go, several small patches of snow are still lurking in the Ptarmigan Bowl. Over the back the Ciste Mhearaidh snow patch is much more sizeable than the tiny blob this time last year, and could be worth a slide next weekend and may also provide scope for kicker building!
The snow patches have diminished fairly considerably since earlier in the month, so hopefully the weather wont do anything to drastic and damaging this week as we should still be able to get a similar slide in to what we managed last year, though the diagonal snow field we made use of last year has less diagonal length, but more width so also provides scope for some impromptu kicker building.
Final details will depend on the forecast later in the week, check with the forum, but at the moment if you wish to come along let us know in the forum, and we'll see you in the Daylodge Bar at 10am on Saturday (unless forecasts dictate a change!)
