Great sport across the mountain on Monday for all abilities, though the base has firmed up from the weekend, fresh covering of snow meant some powder was to be found on the East Lady and the West Wall. Where the base is exposed the snow is generally firm but grippy, rather than the boiler plate that might have been expected after another thaw/freeze. A few icy patches around, but easily avoidable for the most part.

Excellent areas for beginners both at the Top in the Ptarmigan Bowl and on the lower nursery slopes, and the Sheiling Trainer Tow has been open recently just below the mid-station, access via the train to the Sheiling.

Thanks to Helen Rennie for Monday's photos. If you have been out please send your photos to pix@winterhighland.com
