Most runs are complete with a good cover between the fences and with cold daytime temps and sharp overnight frosts, the pisted stuff is coming up brilliantly with machined packed powder corduroy for first tracks in the morning.
The bit more wind around the turn over the year has moved snow around, so there are some scoured areas and less general cover, but this has improved the fenced runs on most aspects. Carn Aosda and Butchart's area is in great shape and is proving very popular, but for Monday the Glas Maol Poma is scheduled to make it's season debut which should spread people out more and mean almost the full area is accessible.
One area currently lacking in snow is the Tiger side of the Cairnwell, but there is plenty of other stuff to keep advanced riders smiling, just heed the avalanche warnings for certain off-piste aspects.
Overall excellent early season sport for all ability levels on offer. Scottish Schools except Highland mostly go back over the next couple of days, so slopes should be quieter mid-week.
