Report
The overcast conditions of Friday were replaced by clear skies overnight giving a fine sunny day with light winds on Saturday. The clearing skies overnight meant the snow firmed up and despite summit temperatures of +7°c the snow remained hard packed through the day, though the surface loosened a bit on the Fairway with use. The firmer surface conditions mean there has been no further thawing of the snow pack.
Ciste Fairway and Ptarmigan run are complete up top, but both are narrow, esp the Ptarmigan Bowl. The Cas was closed to to the hard conditions underfoot in the Gunbarrel, but the Traverse, 105 and Upper Cas remain complete though narrow. All runs will be assessed in the morning, likely to be firm, but with this temperature inversion you can never be sure.
