There has been no change in conditions for better or worse since last weekend on CairnGorm Mountain and limited terrain remains on offer in the Top Basin. Both the Ciste Fairway and Ptarmigan runs are complete, but the runs are narrow esp. through the Ptarmigan Bowl. Snow remains firm packed.
The Traverse, 105 and Upper Cas remain complete but narrow, but no mid-station stops since the weekend partly due to the solid snow in the Gunbarrel which is just a narrow strip above the burn.
A sledge park is on offer just outside the Ptarmigan Restaurant and sledges can be hired from the Top Station. All change on the weather front after over a week dominated by high pressure, milder conditions should soften up the surface conditions to give granular spring snow, but that may well be academic given the forecast wind strength.
