From Strathspey it might be hard to believe there is still snow fields with 300ft of vertical lurking over the back of CairnGorm Mountain, but for the keen there is still patches to play around in and for those prepared to intermix hiking with touring larger areas of snow out on the Plateau heading to Ben Macdui.
