Looking up the Traverse from the top of the Cas.
Looking down the 105, remains full width.
Not even the Gunbarrel offers a route to the middle, can get just over half way down.
For now the Upper Cas holds onto a reasonable base, but will someone please turn the thermostat down!

A small selection of photos from an overcast and wild CairnGorm Mountain on the last day of January, where the temperatures were more like the last day of June. High winds prevented the top tows from running, so the action was restricted to Coire Cas with access down the Traverse from the Ptarmigan.
The Upper Cas remains complete with a reasonable width of base and the snow was fairly quick, scrunchy spring snow. The Gunbarrel is broken and walking is required to regain the Funicular at the Mid-Station. The top of the Traverse at the M1 Poma as it has been all winter so far is thin, watch out! From the M1 Race Track there is still a decent depth of cover though the width is confined to the track.
