Report
After an overcast start it brightened up to give a largely clear and sunny afternoon, but the earlier cloud and cooler daytime temps kept the snow hard packed on the Goose. Best where pisted. Summit Runs loosened up to spring snow in the afternoon, as did the Back Corries away from the top.
If as forecast an early morning cloud burns back to give good sunny spells the warm daytime temps should give some great spring snow and fine conditions for exploring over the back, Summit Gully and Spikes should give epic lines, but they require a fairly epic hike out so are only for the committed and the fit. The hike out of Coire Dubh is shorter and the upper slopes of it down to half way down the Braveheart hold excellent cover. Before going over the back please check with Patrol for the latest though.
Terrain Park has a stack of features for all ability levels from those just starting out in the park upwards. Thanks to H11lly for the photos. More are available in the Public Reports Section. More from Summit Gully in the forum and on HighlandInstinct.
