Top of the Ciste Tow. Link Lift needs a snowfence or something!

View down the narrow bottom half of the Fairway.

Report
CairnGorm Mountain was open for limited snowsports in the Top Basin over the weekend, but the runs are narrow and fairly hardpacked. Saturday proved to be the better day with largely blue skies and the great weather made it a fine day for being in the mountains, helping to make up for the limited terrain.
Nursery areas are limited due to the narrow cover in the Ptarmigan Bowl. However there is a base to build from and after a several days of cooler temps and only flurries of snow the ground is now fairly well frozen again, which bodes will if we get snow before the ground gets a chance to thaw out completely.
Thanks to Helen (h11lly) for Sunday's photos. If you have been out on the slopes please send your photos to pix2007@winterhighland.info .
