CairnGorm Mountain will kick of the 2014 Scottish Snowsports Season with the first lift served riding of the winter at 10am on Saturday - the earliest start to the season since autumn 2008.
These are a few photos from Altodd, there are more in the
Public Reports.
The Funicular for access and the Ciste T-bar are scheduled to run and the Ciste Fairway has been pisted. The Ptarmigan Traverse was being pisted on Friday afternoon, so there maybe a possibility of the Ptarmigan Tow coming on over the weekend.
Adult tickets are £15 and child tickets are £10. Winter 2013 Season Passes remain valid through 30th November, if you have purchased a 2014 Season Pass please bring ID to collect a complimentary day ticket from the Ticket Office.
As uplift is limited and the inevitable early season enthisium for a first fix of winter means expect it to be busy, that plus typical early season basless conditions mean bring a sense of a humour!
If you require equipment hire please hire in Aviemore or Glenmore as hire will not be available in the Daylodge this weekend.
Now time for one last sleep before the season kicks off!
