The snow in the Goose was good fast spring snow, but after a promising dawn it was quite simply not a day for photography.
The clag came in for lift opening time and stuck to the mountains limpet like all day.
On the front of the mountain the main action is the Goose which is still in good shape, the Allt Sneachda is skiable to the Quad Road bridge and it was good fun in the afternoon despite being narrow as it was below the gloom. Summit Runs have some thin and narrow bits but are holding together.
For advanced riders the Backs hold much more potential, Coire Dubh has good cover, with deep snow to the base of the Braveheart Chairlift. Hopefully the overhead will clear up during Saturday as forecasts suggest because there's lots of potentially lift assisted steep spring snow in the various back corries if the weather is OK and Braveheart can run.
Check the patrol notices at the top of the Summit Button for status of the Braveheart Chair.
A new camera over looking the base of the Downhill tracks and bike skills area to the mountain showing the view from the Pine Marten Cafe has been added at
