Ciste Gully looks superb, freshly laid tracks this evening in the Spring Snow.
Lot less snow on the runs on the Cas side, Lady broken, lower 2/3rds Cas still decent.
Zoom view of Coire Cas from Loch Morlich, unloading just before tow track crossover, but still good depth below.
If you fancy something steep in Sneachda...

He wasn't overly impressed that I had no food!

CairnGorm Mountain re-opens for lift served snowsports on Saturday for a final 3 days of lift served action for the 2014 Season. The last day of snowsports will be Monday 5th May.
Up top the Ptarmigan Bowl still has mostly wide cover, so for snowplough turners it's ideal with good spring snow. There is one bank of kickers, plus the two expert Van's rails, and a flat easy box in the Ptarmigan Park.
There are no complete routes to the middle from the top, so access to Coire Cas is best from the Funicular mid-station or advanced riders prepared to do a bit of hoofing via the White Lady. Most of the Lady is still fine from the tunnel down, but for a short break that can probably be grass skied - but you need to walk from the top to beside the tunnel.
Lower 2/3rds of Coire Cas is complete with a still decent depth of snow and the Cas Gunbarrel is still flat, bumps may well build during Saturday.
The star attraction for those willing to do the leg work is the Ciste Gully, it's still in fantastic shape to the boardwalk (collapsed remains off). Arrange a car at the Ciste Carpark or walk over to the Funicular Base Station via the old skiers track - aim for the corner of the Daylodge Poma. It's 260ft of uphill vertical on foot - but you can do five laps this way via the Funicular for the same climbing as one skin back up to the Top Station!
