These are a small selection of photos from around the mountain on Thursday, there are more photos and detailed report from Helen (H11lly) in the
Public Reports.
A dry but colder day which meant the snow has set up firm to hard, though the pisting is generally coming up nice and grippy and there are some pockets of loose fresh snow around. One such stash was approaching the White Lady out by the old T-bar line.
The longer green Top Basin Runs all have excellent cover so there is plenty of options for all ability levels on CairnGorm. The Traverse is wide and banked out so there is a long green run cruise to the mid-station via the Traverse, Upper Cas and Zig Zags.
Ridable to the Daylodge, though thin in places on the lower slopes. The snow guns are in place here for the forecast cold snap from late Friday through Saturday.
The White Lady has excellent cover and is being pisted regularly so should hopefully be grippy rather than slick for more advanced riders.
Sharper the edges, the better the snow rides when firm - it can make or break your day, it really does make a huge difference!
