Well folks that is all for the lift served 2018 Scottish Season which drew to a close and the end of play on Monday afternoon at Glencoe.

With very warm temperatures and humid breezy air over the weekend the spring melt is well underway with a considerable retreat of snow from the base of the mid mountain lifts since the end of last week. The Wall T-bar track expired yesterday afternoon, so it was just the Cliffhanger for mid-mountain and the Main Basin T-bar for the upper mountain.

However the snow conditions were fantastic and got better as the day wore on with perfect true granular spring snow. It was a slow start for many, early rain was expected to miss to the North but monsoon conditions set in around 10am and many sat it out at the base, but it was well worth the wait for a dry and bright afternoon.

Hard to pick a run of the day, but it was probably a tie between the Wall and the Flypaper for fast smooth granular spring snow. If you like mellow bumps then Happy Valley was a blast, and the Canyon continued to be great fun though it was getting more grass than snow on Mugs Alley back to the Cliffhanger.

That is all for lift served riding for the 2018 Scottish Season, but snow and weather permitting one more day of lift assisted turns planned for a mid summer slide on Saturday 23rd June when the Cliffhanger Chair is planned to run to ease access to the remaining snowfields on the upper mountain.
