Early cloud burned back to give lengthy Sunny spells on the penultimate day of the Scottish Season on Sunday and a similar day is expected on the Bank Holiday Monday. So don't miss out on the final chance for lift served riding this season, come and finish off your season with some fantastic granular spring snow and don't forget the suncream, and bring a sense of humour and water wings for Mugs Alley!
For confident intermediates up there is still plenty of options to have some final turns to round off the 2018 Scottish Season with a selection of blue, red and black terrain open and lift served.
Main Basin (blue) and Happy Valley (blue) are in good condition with fast crunchy granular spring snow, but the pick for more experienced riders was the Wall (red) and the Canyon (black) mid-mountain. A walk along the Summit path is required to reach the Spring Run (red), but certainly worth it for a few laps. Check with Ski Patrol on site for the latest on the Flypaper and East Ridge area of Radio Gully and Ballies Gully.
Mugs Alley is broken and only suitable for return to the Cliffhanger for more experienced riders from the upper and middle slopes. Old Mugs Alley is skiable, but really only for getting to the Plateau Cafe or at the end of the day for heading back to the Plateau path. Apart from Old Mugs Alley there is almost no snow on the Plateau so it's a 5-7minute walk to the Cliffhanger Chair.
