With winds from the SE Glencoe has been able to offer uplift each day through this windy spell. While wind speeds generally will be a bit less on Sunday, the wind will have backed Easterly and be more prone at affecting the Plateau area, so still advisable to check the latest in the morning.
The change in wind direction means the loose snow may well have shifted around a bit more, so what was best for fresh on Saturday may not be on Sunday. The best conditions are likely to be found on the groomed terrain and the Main Basin and Happy Valley on the upper mountain, Mugs Alley mid mountain and all Plateau runs will be groomed in the morning.
There is extensive cover from half way up the Access Chair with much of the mountain ride anywhere, though exposed parts of the mountain will be scoured to the now handpicked and rather icy base.
Excellent riding on the groomers for early intermediates on the long Plateau greens. It is possible to ride to the Carpark via the low level Red Access Run, though the bottom 1/4 is narrow and thin in places and rather icy. Top third of the Red, section of Weasel Track to the Blue Access Run and then as far as snow cover permits groomed on the Blue providing an easier route for those who don't want to download on the Access Chair.
