Around 4-5 inches fresh snow in the past 24 hours brings the past week total to between 22 and 25 inches on Meall a’ Bhuiridh. Last nights snow was more wind affected than recent days with considerable drifting meaning there was some fantastic wind blown stashes.
Strong winds delayed opening slightly, but wind and snow showers subsided to give a pretty epic afternoon with Summit to Moor riding giving 2400ft of lifted vertical. The low level Blue & Red Access Runs and Darkside seeing action all day.
Fantastic riding for all ability levels, all Plateau named trails being extensively groomed every morning. Ride anywhere cover between the Plateau groomers.
Sadly forecast not so good for Saturday, wind and overhead deteriorating through morning but exact timing uncertain with several hours spread between the frontal hill snow and strongest winds arriving. To get the best you need to be ready for first lift at 8.30am, but there is a risk that will be too late, though if the wind is SE that should buy a bit more time at Glencoe.
