Extensive snow cover extends to well below the top of the Access Chair, so all runs up on the main area have great cover of consolidated snow.
Light snow showers overnight and through the day have helped freshen up the groomed runs to give nice riding on mid-winter groomed snow. Off the prepared areas the base is generally still hard and rattly but where pockets of fresh have blown some nice turns could be had, but by and large still best to stick to the pisted stuff.
Main Basin, Happy Valley and the Spring Run being regularly pisted on the upper mountain at present, Mugs Alley mid-mountain and all the Plateau greens which are all in fantastic condition with a deep and wide cover and are grooming up very well, so lots of options for all abilities around the mountain.
A park line has been set up on the Coire Pollach Run to skiers right of the tow, this features an easy flat ride on box, a more technical flat-down-flat rail, a ride on pipe jib, a small kicker and a rainbow rail (feature pix from Monday afternoon).
Summit to moor riding with 2400ft of vertical remains possible via the Red Access Run, but the lower 2/3rds remain fairly handpacked though any snow showers which make it through should ease the surface. However the best option for those not wishing to download on the Access Chair is to take the top third of the Red which is groomed, then follow the groomed line and blue poles to skiers right and follow the Weasel Track which is groomed onto the blue Access Run, which via the bottom groomed section of Weasel Gully gets you to within 300m of the Carpark on groomed snow.
A short walk from there or a combat ski either above the hill track or below on the red bike track if you have good edges to reach the Carpark!
