Though the weather has turned decidedly more spring like in recent days, there is still plenty of action at the Lecht and it remains by far and away the best option for those just starting out in their snowsports adventures.
That's particularly true for families with little ones as the 2 magic carpets literally seconds away from the facilities in the base lodge have made an always good learning area even better. Still great cover thanks to the TechnoAlpin Snowfactory trial.
Most main runs are still full width between the fences, though there are some thin / worn patches appearing in places. The Eagle and Snowy Owl are the best on the East side of the A939, but the best cover including plenty outside the fences is on the Buzzard side. Falcon still complete for steeper terrain though narrow in parts. The main links around the blue and green terrain holding together OK.
