A selection of photos from H11lly (Helen) from Sunday, more pix in the
Public Reports.
A big thankyou to Helen for clearing the window for the Ptarmigan Tow webcam as well as for taking the photos.
Snow is lying to the Daylodge, with more meaningful cover starting to build from around the top of the Gunbarrel. It is possible to get skis/skins on at the upper leg of the Zig Zags. Coming back down it was possible to get down the 105, then the fence line onto the Zig Zags (Rock hoppers only).
On Sunday evening the temperature was below -3°c at the Summit and the wind was Westerly Storm Force 10. Significant further drifting onto the Traverse and Top Basin fence lines should be occurring.
The outlook for the week ahead is a cool unsettled zonal pattern, with snow for the mountains, gales returning later in the week after a moderation in wind at the start of the week. More snow and more drifting should continue to fill in the upper mountain runs with the FL forecast to be around or a bit below Munro Level through the week.
Maximum snow dances this week and maybe just maybe... :)
