Report
Friday started damp and windy, with light rain falling through much of the U23 Cross Country races earlier on Friday, but into the evening the weather cleared up as day light begun to fade. The clouds broke and the wind fell light with just enough breeze to give a very pleasant midge free evening for a spectacular flood light 4X.

While the hopes of the home crowd for a home grown 4X World Champion on home soil didn't come to pass the huge crowd was treated to some great racing under the lights which just made the amazing atmosphere even more intense. As always there were bumps, collisions and spills that are very much part and parcel of 4X racing, but the unfortunate Cedric Cracia's championships came to a painful end with a broken wrist.

A fireworks display from above the 4X course brought to a close a great and memorable evening.
