Opening weekend and the first full day of the 2008 season at Glenshee on Saturday after a couple of hours opening late Friday. Lifts turning till 4.30pm Sat.
Runs have continued to fill in with further snow showers and ongoing drifting through Saturday, with the East/West aligned fenced runs of the Cairnwell, Sunnyside, Meall Odhar and Coire Fionn doing well.
The piste crews will gradually work out to prepare more terrain. On Saturday the Sunnyside Pomas on the East side of the A93 and the Dink Dink, Plastic Slope and Claybokie Pomas and Cairnwell T-bar on the West side were open. In addition for Sunday the Tom Dearg Poma should open and subject to wind both the Sunnyside and Cairnwell Chairs are slated to run, giving 1000ft of vertical.
Good early season sport for all skill levels from easy greens to the reds of the Cairnwell Tow, where the Cairnwell Race Track was reported to be offering up the best sport of the day.
