Part cloudy skies cleared to give a near perfect blue sky afternoon on Thursday to compliment around 4 to 5 inches of fresh powder which had fallen overnight.
A mix of windblown fresh, packed powder and firm packed snow lower down under the fresh giving generally superb surface conditions and excellent sport for all abilities.
The good overhead conditions allowed the Braveheart Chair to open on Wed and Thurs with all the Back Corries seeing action. Plenty of options for fresh lines in Coire Dubh, but Spikes, Summit Gully and Easy Gully (Ice climb in Coire an Lochan) all saw fresh tracks laid. If venturing over the back, check with patrol for the latest.
For lower abilities the Rob Roy T-bar has good snow with a long green on Rob Roys return. Photos by JamieR (Jamizon - 12 more in Public Reports) and Jamie (www.highland-instinct.co.uk).
