Ride anywhere cover between the Cas and Fiacaill. Cas providing excellent riding for intermediates.

Looking up the 'Gorm from the lower Cas Carpark.

Skiers heading out the Fiacaill Traverse - much of the mountain above mid-station remains ski anywhere.

Traverse/M1 Split looking towards the Summit from the M1 Poma.

Skiers traverse round the viewing terrace from the M1 Poma. Can ski onto the Poma side of viewing terrace for alternative entrance to Ptarmigan!

Looking out over the Funicular and tunnel into Coire Cas from an absolutely loaded M2.

Skiers heading for the West Wall Poma on OverYonder.

Top Basin from the M2. Fantastic cover down OverYonder to the WW Poma. Daylodge good at top, patchy low down.

Total cover across the Aonach Bowl from the WWP to and well beyond OverYonder.

Ciste Fairway from the WWP. Total cover across the Top Basin with absolutely superb conditions for novices to early intermediates.

The Ciste Gully was the pick of the day once it softened. It's not getting enough of the sun to make it too sticky, near perfect spring snow.

The West Wall Chairlift, Poma beyond. Fantastic spring riding under the chair line.

Fiacaill Ridge from the White Lady, which is full width back to the M1 with good sport for advanced riders.

Looking down the lower section of the West Wall Chair, good spring snow here PM, just remember to traverse out between the lower two chair pylons to reach the Poma.

Heading for home after a fantastic day via the Fiacaill Ridge after 5pm.

Fiacaill Buttress from the Traverse. Superb cover down the Traverse, Upper Cas and Zig Zags giving a long run for those who have mastered the Top Basin.

Report
Sunday dawned clear over CairnGorm Mountain and though some cloud came and went there were long periods of sunshine. The clear dawn followed a cold and frosty night which set the snow up hard on the lower mountain.

As the snow loosened up more people again headed onto the steeps and off-piste with fantastic spring riding for advanced skiers and boarders in Coire Na Ciste, with the Ciste Gully the pick of the day.

Extensive cover remains above mid-station level with large tracts of off-piste snow on offer on the middle and upper levels. Great spring riding is available for all ability levels.

Once again snow will firm up overnight, best conditions likely at the top and on recently pisted areas if your heading up first thing. The Lower Slopes are not advised first thing, but are easily passable once the surface softens with the Fiacaill Ridge providing the best route to the Daylodge. The Carpark and Daylodge runs are passable with care (head out from the fences on the Daylodge). Skiable to the Ciste Carpark via the Aonach Ridge and the Laogh Mor Return.
