Report
A few photos from late Tuesday afternoon from around the base area in a brief lull between the snow showers that have been almost constant today.
Since the photos were taken the weather has closed in again, snow is falling steadily just now and drifting with the powdery snow being whipped up into a whiteout in the stronger gusts even in the Carpark.
Radar returns indicate between 11 and 14 inches of fresh snow fall in the past 24 hours, but it's wind affected with heavy drifting all day, so there are some big drifts and then scoured areas in some places. Staff did manage to get on the lower mountain today, but there is still a lot of preparation work required as well as storm recovery work and another big storm is coming tomorrow evening.
Check reports in the morning for updates regards to any possible mid-week opening. Things look more promising for the weekend, but there's Wednesday night's and Thursday's storm to get through first.
