The strong gusty wind eased a bit then came back stronger on Wednesday morning, with blizzard conditions during the snow showers and continued heavy drifting. Unfortunately the wind was too gusty to open, but staff did manage to get up on the mountain and the Wall and Plateau Poma were ready to go.
The Main Basin is likely to need some further work in the morning due to the continued heavy drifting tonight, but with the mid mountain absolutely loaded and fresh tracks to be had to the Carpark on the Red Access Run by the fence that's 1600ft of vertical to play on before the Main Basin T-bar opens up the full 2400ft of vertical. We are in the middle month of Spring, so this might be the last chance for Summit to moor riding, so come and get it!
The Wall is loaded, Thrombosis gully is filled flat, the Haggis Trap hasn't been seen for months, but all these are out done by the Canyon which is astonishingly loaded and close to being flat itself! There is a crescent drift that forms a curved natural quarter pipe lip so it should be a blast for advanced skiers and boarders.
