Another 2-3 inches of snow has fallen this evening at Glencoe as a snow streamer set up, packing shower after shower in while many places were dry. There's been somewhere between 24 and 30 inches of snow in the past 2 days according to accumulated radar returns.
There's been huge gains in the gullies and natural snow fields since the mountain was last open. Where groomed surface conditions will be fantastic machine packed powder, but off the prepared areas the snow pack will be wind affected with more variable conditions. Some excellent wind packed powder is lurking but heed closures, there is a high avalanche risk!
The low level Access Run is skiable, so once the Main Basin T-bar opens the full Summit to moor vertical of 2400ft will be available, indeed 2600ft to the A82 should be on if you don't mind hiking back up to the Carpark!
