About to clip in for some July turns on the Main Basin.
Andy in the Haggis Trap!
Deciding not to ski the Haggis trap again this season.
Also gave this patch a miss today!
Last turn in Island Rock Gully on the Main Basin.
Canyon was best, sweet firm crunchy and fast granular Spring Snow - remember theres a river underneath.
July turns in the Main Basin, top large patch still pretty wide then narrows.
Looking up to the July patches, Canyon to right. First tower up with running gear on for the new Tow up by Old Mugs Alley.

Mid month and a fine day with light winds, so time to finally get around to bagging some July turns at Glencoe. As had other things on at Glencoe didn't get over to the Spring Run which also has a couple of large patches. Further over the face of the Flypaper Bowl is still pretty much complete, but as time goes on access onto the snow will become increasingly tricker on the Flypaper.
Though the Main Basin has finally broken up into patches having still been complete for the Summer Solstice slide on 21st June, the upper patches are still quite large and it's possible to ski the section below the Haggis Trap as well.
Today's pick though was the Canyon, quite simply beautiful crunchy granular Spring Snow giving sweet turns. Do keep in mind a mountain river cascades down the waterfall below - but on the banked up snow to skiers left there seems to still be quite a bulge. However it needs to be treated with caution.
If you're keen and fancy the bragging rights of a July slide on Meall a' Bhuiridh, still worth it for the keen if you get a reasonable weather day. Dry, fairly bright with Sunny Spells on Tuesday, light winds, calm at times on the hill but not many midges about.
