A bright start faded as the convective April snow showers got going and they got heavier and more frequent later in the afternoon and have continued to pile in through the evening. Radar data suggests that 3-4 inches has landed on the upper mountain, certainly looks like a good bit judging by the cone that was disappearing through the evening on our Ptarmigan Tow cam!
All Top Basin runs are open, the Ciste Fairway was back in use with the weekend snow and it's been drifting in and improving. There was a good base in the Ptarmigan and Ciste Bowls and they are in excellent condition, with machine packed powdery snow.
That continues down the Traverse onto Coire Cas on the groomers, though the snow is a bit heavier at the bottom of the Gunbarrel, there's still a good bit of fresh ontop of the base. Thanks to WindyMiller for most of the photos, it was a pea soup late in the afternoon when I was on the hill (clearing at closing time)! More snow showers expected tonight and Thursday, should be great riding on the open terrain, 1300ft vertical from top to Mid Station.
