Zig Zags have held up pretty well, benefited from a fairly sustained number of days of snowmaking earlier in the season.
Top Basin still has a good base, but areas of ice outside the Top Station and down towards the top of the Traverse.
Door, horse, bolt! If the sort of whenever possible use of the snow guns in 2013 had been repeated this year the lower slopes would have been open today.
Unfortunately the Daylodge faces right into SW hairdryers and has been obliterated. Major loss when it's busy for getting around the mountain.
Coire Cas Gunbarrel was flat before the thaw, and still flat after the thaw! Gully storage is hugely significant in reducing thaw loss.
Upper Cas still pretty wide cover, but wind was blasting fresh snow off it on Thursday, crunchy spring like snow in Gunbarrel.

Funicular was mid-stopping Thursday but is expected to revert to non-stop running on Friday, snow guns are working on the Sheiling and Zig Zag areas and the Piste crew are working at improving the Carpark Run for Friday now temperatures are cold and snow is frozen again.
Surface conditions ranged from hard with icy patches to spring snow as the wet soft snow dried up, some fresh snow blowing around but the new snow hasn't amounted to more than a dusting yet.
