A shower came in around 9am as people grabbed some breakfast in the Cafe, but it more or less dried up for going up the Access Chair.
Early showers cleared to a good bright spell once most were up the Cliffhanger, but then the showers came in and were more persistent and wet snow was reported at the top of the Main Basin. It brightened up again though for those who stuck it out for the afternoon.
Good granular spring snow and pretty fast and easy going. The Wall, Thrombosis, Canyon on the mid-mountain and the Main Basin, Spring Run and Flypaper all seeing action on the Summer Solstice.
Great turnout with over 80 people despite the not very inspiring or summery forecast. If you couldn't make it up today, the Access Chair is open daily and the weather is looking pretty settled for the next few days and the snow is good so well worth the hike up.
