A simply stunning bluebird day on Meall a' Bhuiridh with hardly a breath of wind. As the Sun loosened up the snow there was fantastic steep turns to be had on the Spring Run, Flypaper and the East Ridge and various combinations of them.
The Main Basin and Happy Valley were fantastic freshly groomed corduroy for the early birds on Saturday morning and will be again on Sunday morning, great wide blue cruising terrain for some big carves.
All the mid mountain runs are in great shape, with the full range of green, blue, red and black trails available off the Cliffhanger Chair and Wall T-bar.
Plateau Poma Run and the Low Road are complete, but are becoming narrow in places but were still easy skiing with the soft forgiving spring snow. There is also a 2km nordic skating track groomed on the Plateau for XC skiers, this will be re-pisted in the morning.
Snow was firming up in the afternoon, a more overcast and milder day is expected on Sunday so snow should be loose spring snow, check reports in the morning.
