A small selection of photos from Monday on CairnGorm, visibility very poor up top with exceptionally flat light made taking photos virtually pointless.
Thus ended up making the turns that officially claimed month 37 in a row on CairnGorm outside the Daylodge on the path over the burn for a press photographer.
There has been further snow since Monday and the latest news at time of upload on Wednesday evening is that CairnGorm Mountain is aiming to open for the season on Saturday 1st December.
Some forecast model output indicate a risk of strong winds on Saturday so weather as well as how the snow cover develops over the next couple of days could affect plans - so stay tuned.
For now the intention is to run the Ciste Tow serving the Fairway. A bit more snow by Saturday could allow a run from Top to mid-station for more experienced riders.
