Report
A chilly and overcast day with snow showers and drifting on the more exposed slopes, but with even more fresh snow some fantastic sport across the area for all ability levels.
Most main fenced runs pisted with machine packed powder with just the odd harder bit of base exposed near ridge lines and exposed aspects. The unpisted route from Caenlochan to Coire Fionn Pomas is wind affected and a mixed of scoured base and some windblown fresh, but this area was the exception.
Better visibility meant people were largely staying to the Cairnwell side and Sunnyside, meaning Meall Odhar and beyond was quite. The original Meall Odhar Runs and the Caenlochan (skiers left of the Poma) were reported to be the picks of the day, though both Cairnwell RaceTracks continue to be in fantastic condition!
Thanks to 'Oldagepredator' for the photos from Tuesday. Glenshee is StormBound on Wednesday, with blizzard conditions and severe drifting. By 1pm there had been around 3 inches of level snow fall, but the heaviest falls in the Southern Cairngorms are expected later this afternoon through the evening.
Please check the latest report and road info in the morning. Strong winds and continued drifting likely on Thursday, before light winds are forecast to arrive for Friday into the weekend.
