Access Return track is well filled and pisted, with Old Mugs Alley gives a much longer gentle cruise off the Poma.

Buachaille Etive Mor catches some rays while the carpark is in shadow.

The famous Plateau Chateau... deck was well used with little wind.

Skier heads down Old Mugs Alley, easiest access to Cliffhanger and Cafe.

Busy carpark at lunchtime, but everyone was well spread out.

Queue for the Cliffhanger Chair, waxed and waned a bit, but not too bad.

The Plateau Run was devilishly good fun apparently.

Looking over Mugs Alley to Thrombosis, a few different lines by the Cliffy seeing action too.

Looking up the Canyon - this is a Red with bite.

Boarder drops onto Mugs Alley after exiting the Canyon.

Lunch is a good time to ride, when others are queuing for food!!

Riders drop out of the Main Basin below the Haggis Trap approaching the Mid-Station .

Ski Tow Gully, Rannoch Button to left had little queue, only suitable for experienced skiers.

Both Top tows doing their thing, snowy Plateau below in contrast to the expanse of Rannoch Moor beyond.

Upper Happy Valley, this was the pick for the less steep stuff, pretty flattering surface.

Happy Valley, cruisey blue with a view.

Dawn broke above Meall a' Bhuiridh without a cloud in the sky overhead on Saturday morning, signaling a great day ahead. It did haze over somewhat, but visibility remained excellent till the cloud dropped onto the tops at the end of the day - heralding a change in the weather for tonight.

The mountain was busy but with all uplift open and good cover to the top of the Access Chair everyone was well spread out, so the queues for the parts of the day I managed to get out to get some turns in weren't too bad at all for the numbers.

There was good riding for all ability levels and novice classes were dotted around various parts of the lower mountain. For confident intermediates upwards, Happy Valley was the pick of the day. Fine skier and wind packed snow, though the short steeper section in the narrows where the run funnels into a shallow gully developed a few scrapped patches late on, sticking to the sides avoided them.

The Spring Run was proving very popular, having caught a good bit of windblown fresh at the end of the week. Heard a couple of conversations regards the Canyon at the bottom of the middle lifts of the '..but it's only a red on the map' variety! Good sport for advanced riders, but it's steeper and more challenging than it looks from the Cliffhanger Chair.

Mugs Alley, the High Road and Old Mugs Alley all have good cover, Old Mugs Alley combined with the Access Return track provide a meandering long green off the Plateau Poma which was proving popular.

As the cloud dropping on the tops at dusk suggested, a change in the weather was coming. Strong winds developing tonight, but may not be so severe towards the South of the Highlands. So please check the latest with Glencoe in the morning.
