Snow showers on Monday and drifting on an at times gusting wind is continuing to improve the already great surface conditions on the front of the mountain. Runs back to the top of the Gondola and foot of the Quad continue to improve with the Rabbit Run now offering groomed lines on both sides of the fence.
The Upper Mountain has wide cover, Goose Gully being over 120m at one point! Sidewinder saw fairly regular Piste Basher traffic so was a blast all day with machine packed powder. Far West fenceline was also catching quite a bit of windblown fresh.
Links around the mid mountain area all in good shape, the fence lines on the Alpha Traverse and Home Run from the foot of the Goose are loaded to the tops.
With an East wind Warrens was topping up through the day but it and Switch were closed due very poor visibility at the top. Should be fantastic when it opens. Back Coire was at Limited Patrol status, some entrances suffering from scouring in the East wind - check with patrol for the latest.
More snow forecast Tuesday, then a largely fine day with light winds expected Wednesday. With no high level roads to find, Nevis (and Glencoe) are looking very promising for Wednesday indeed.
